The Help by Kathryn Stockett

I know I like a book when I can't stop thinking about its characters. What's going to happen to them next? What are they doing right now? They're constantly on my mind. I've just started reading The Help by Kathryn Stockett and it's the story of three women living in Jackson, Mississippi during the civil rights movement, 1962. Great story. Great characters. Kind of reminds me of The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd. I can hardly wait to see what happens next!

I love reading!

I love to read. I always have. And I love to share what I'm reading with others. There's nothing more satisfying than recommending a title to someone and having them come back to tell you how much they've loved reading the book. It makes me positively giddy! I have been recommending books to people all my life. How can you keep a great story to yourself? Becoming a librarian was just the next logical step. Who knew you could get paid for doing something that just comes naturally to you? They say to be happy in life you just need to know what you love and then find a way to make a living out of it. I'll let you in on a little secret...I'd do this for free.
